Always read the actual session date and any notes about fields without available history.
Choose Scan as of
Open the scanner, set a date in Scan as of, and run your expression. Leave the date blank to use the latest available data. For weekends or holidays, the result uses the preceding available trading session and shows the actual date used.
Check price and indicator coverage
Historical prices and indicators use available observations through the selected session. A function may need more history than is available for a symbol. Missing required observations stay unavailable rather than being replaced with values from a later date.
Read the metadata notes
Some company metadata has no available history and can use current values. The result identifies that limitation. A scan combining historical prices with current metadata should not be described as a complete reconstruction of information known on the earlier date.
Preserve the research context
Save the expression and record the actual session, universe, and warnings. Share links preserve a selected date. If you compare forward results or use a backtest, check the later price coverage and remember that a historical result does not establish future performance.
