Confirm the company, inspect the observations, and keep the question behind your research visible.
Confirm the security
Start in Symbol Summary and check the company name, symbol, and available classification. Similar tickers or different security types can lead to the wrong comparison. Check which company fields are available before relying on a summary.
Review the price history
Open the daily chart and choose a range suited to your question. Notice the latest available session, the overall path, and any periods you want to inspect more closely. Add indicators only when you can explain the additional observation they provide.
Bring in a relevant comparison
Review the company’s sector or industry, or compare a few related charts with CandleGlance. Use consistent periods and remember that compact chart shapes do not directly compare percentage returns. Read the actual return fields when the size of the move matters.
Choose what to revisit
Check available earnings dates or corporate-action records when they relate to your question. Add the symbol to a watchlist if you intend to follow up. A research workflow organizes information; it does not replace your own evaluation of a company or its risks.
